Support Woodman's Workers

Woodman’s stores have been our neighborhood grocery stores for generations--and they’ve always been union.

But now Phil Woodman has hired a high-priced lawyer and a consultant from the East Coast to try and drive out the union at his stores.

Woodman’s employees are being forced to work in an atmosphere of fear and intimidation, where if they support the union they’re harassed and treated unfairly.

The union has filed numerous unfair labor practice charges against Woodman's for its illegal actions against workers, and additional charges are expected.

“Workers are scared,” says Doug Brucker, a Woodman’s employee and UFCW Local 1473 member. “The company’s trying to scare them into voting against their own union, but it’s not going to work. We have to stand up and fight for our union, or we’ll lose our benefits and our job security—the things that let us take care of our families.”
